New Education policy – 2020

Today we are going to talk about our New Education Policy 2020. What changes has been made, when it will be applied and in later post we will discuss about what are its positivity and negativity that will harm in future.
The very first change in education system has been done in 1968. Secondly in 1986, in which further update is done in 1992. This is not considered as a big change and that’s why it has not been embedded in any education policy. The New Education Policy 2020 will be applied in coming year 2022 or 2023, well that’s totally depend on the current pandemic situation, if COVID 19 is in under controlled then it will be started from 2022. This new policy has been made by consulting various districts, villages and panchayat.
This new policy is included and presided over Kasturi Ranjan who is a former scientist of ISRO. This is first time in India where a big committee has been set up and various suggestions has been taken before making this new policy. As the education ministry comes under Ministry of Human Resource Development, MHRD name is simply changed to ministry of education. We know that till now there is 10+2 program but it has been changed to 5+3+3+4. So, many of you are confused about this new program and I will let you know about this and what further changes has been made in Graduation, Post graduation and P.H.D. Multiple entry/exit system has come by changing stream system. What is 10+2? Basically a child started studying at the age of 6 which means he/she is started studying in class 1 when they become 6 years old and  you have to study from class 1 to 12 in under state government monitoring. After completing 10+2, you will study under some university where state government doesn’t play any role. According to new policy, govt. stated that now they will monitoring you for 15 years, just calculate 5+3+3+4=15. So, you might be thinking that you have to study 15 years, well that’s not true. Beginning age of studying is 6 but a/c to new policy it has been changed to 3 years. The purpose of this new policy is to make child attachment with school as children at very young age don’t want to go school. You have seen that children’s are used to play games and always wanted to engage in extracurricular activities. Keeping in mind govt. has taken a decision that for the first 3 years children’s will come to school only for playing games or doing paintings, drawing or playing with clay and there will be no uniform, in fact teacher will also get training and they have to treat children’s in the same manner as their parents do . By these criteria children’s will be willing to go to school. So, basically 5+3+3+4 means first 5 years is a foundation stage and there will be no exam. Again 5 year is divided in 3+2 form it means starting 3 years will be play session  children’s will go to play school and next 2 years they have to study in class 1 & 2. Teachers are specially advised not to pressurize students. Coming to the next stage which is called preparatory stage, where you have to study from class 3 to 5, including study students will get to perform several activities like they will get some poems to learn and there will be exams also. This stage is quite interesting because students will study all the things in there regional language as well as English language depend upon their interest. That means if they belong to Maharashtra they will study in Marathi which will perform only in this stage and let me tell you it is not mandatory. Coming to the 3rd stage which is middle stage where a student will study from class 6 to 8. In this stage students will get basic knowledge of computer coding along with vocational/tech training. So, here vocational means if a student wants to learn work of carpenter like how to make bench, table or a girl want to learn cooking, tailoring or stitching, first aid etc. So, they can learn from vocational training and they will get marks for these learning’s. One more thing is embedded in this stage is that including math’s, science, arts students have to learn one Indian language also. Now coming to the last stage which is secondary stage (4 years) where you have to study from class 9 to 12 and here is a slightly change in the pattern of exam. Exams will be taken in semester wise that means earlier when you are studying from class 9 to 12 you have to give only 4 exams but now after this new policy there will be 8 exams. The best thing in this secondary stage is that after completing 10th there will be no stream options like science, commerce, arts, students can select multiple subjects according to their taste. Suppose a student wants to study maths along with geography and accounts so, he can opt those subjects. In this stage the level of studying is critical thinking means, a student not only have to learn the things, they have to think like if Gandhi ji will not fight for our country then what will be the consequences. In this way student can develop his/her thinking skills. Now come to the last functionality of this stage is that a student can learn any one foreign language.
I hope you all understood about 5+3+3+4 system. Now let’s talk about what changes have been made in Graduation and Post graduation.
According to new policy Graduation is of 4 years:
1st year – Certificate
2nd year – Diploma
3rd year – Degree (Job/Competition)
4th year – Research
So, if students completed their 1st year then the certificate which they will get will be written as Graduate Certificate and those who completed 2nd year also they will certified as Graduate in Diploma. On the completion of3rd year you will get Degree Certificate and you are qualified for appear in any interview or if there is any vacancy then you can apply for it. So, basically what I am trying to say is that a student who has only completed his 1st year will also be considered as graduate and his/her certificate is also valuable.
Most interesting change in graduation is that, if someone drops his study in between or after completing of 2nd year if he/she might drop for two to three years due to financial issues, then he/she can continue from 3rd year. They did not have to study from the beginning and this system is known as Re-entry.
Coming to Post Graduation:
According to New Education Policy, Post Graduation is of either 1 year or 2 year. Those students who have completed their graduation till 4th year they have to study only 1 year and those students who have completed their graduation till 3rd year have to go for 2 year of PG course. A minimum eligibility criterion for doing post graduation course is to complete at least 3 years of graduation.
So, here I am ending up my lines and I think you get all the information’s regarding new education policy.

COVID19 Effect on Students

Hi everyone, So today I will not talk about any courses or any other career options. We all know that COVID19 corona virus is increasing day by day and our govt. Fails to control this pandemic situation. Still every country is trying to make COVID19 vaccine or antidote, number of attempts has been done but still we did not find any result. So, let's talk about hows our studies going..!!
As our Schools and Colleges are closed and everyone is doing there classes online but are you satisfied by this teaching method?
Many of the students are facing problems like network problem, data problem, some are unaware of these technologies. Problems are not stopped here, when the classes are going on many students try to disturb the class. Even some of the teachers also don't care, they just mute all the students and complete their teaching, it doesn't matter whether the students are able to understand or not. So I think if these thing continues then the situation will become worst. Parents are also responsible for the same, when your child is attending online classes, you should sat with him/her and monitor their activities what he or she is doing. Many of the students spent their time either on social media or watching YouTube videos. So guys this is the right time to enhance your talent, you have to find your interest and work on it. We all are sitting idle at home and it's true that when we have nothing to do, we all get panic at that moment. So all you have to do is to make your self busy in something. Many of the students specially who are in colleges are making planes on what will they do when they are free but due to lack of time they are unable to execute their plans. Some of my colleagues have started a online business of evening snacks, well that's a very fascinating thing. This startup is very helpful for them and they are able to cope up with their financial problems also. So when you need something you find something. Talking about financial problems, every second home is suffering from this situation. Schools and colleges are so demanding that they are making deadlines of paying fees of the students. Atleast they have to understand that not you  only suffering from this pandemic situation, everyone is going through it. Students who are in 11th, 12th or in colleges they should start an online internship this will help them to gain some extra knowledge and improve their skills in whatever field they are. Students who want to pursue their career in singing, dancing or playing instruments have the great opportunity to start working on their hobbies. Such students are very fascinating as their thinking ability, personality , hair styles and dressing sence is different from general students. So, you can learn from watching youtube tutorials and can have paid courses on Google also. Now I am going to talk on a very serious issue - Suicide. Either I am talking about chandigarh case where 43 people commit suicide, kerela case  where 66 students take their lives during lock down or kolkata case where a post graduate trainee committed suicide. In kolkata case no cause of death or no suicidal note was found. As we know current situation is very challenging for everyone but we have to deal with it, until the situation is in under control. I don't understand why people give up so easily, once in a life their will be a situation when you stop thinking positively but that doesn't mean you will end up by giving your life. Up's and down's comes in everyone's life but we all have to face that challenge. When you are not in the state of thinking by yourself then go talk to your friends, family or the people whom you think they will understand you. We have to raise consern over the mental and emotional wellbeing of students. As per study, a student commit suicide every hour in India. Due to depression and suicidal thoughts people are committing suicide, we have to catch them early and focus should be giving on preventions. I am ending up here by saying this is not the end, this is beginning and the situation can be worst, all I have to say is that we all have to stand together and fight with this pandemic situation.
